Mouse problem? Call Nancy! ^-^
So, a couple of weeks back, as I was driving out of the garage to pick Nancy up from work, I saw something dart across the garage. Needless to say, after some looking around, I found a field mouse in our garage. Some droppings around the garage confirms that we have a mouse in the garage. I added mouse traps to my shopping list but have yet to get to Home Depot/Lowes to purchase said trap.
Fast forward to today. We’re practicing parallel parking in front of the house today when all of a sudden, while Nancy was backing up, we felt the car dip a little. Uh-oh. Did we run over a dog? A cat maybe? I get out to check.
I look at the back wheels…nothing. No blood. Better yet, no screaming mother. I kneel down and look under the car…nothing. Hm…that’s odd. Maybe it was just the road is mis-shapened? I started walking back toward the car when something caught my eye. There’s something on the front wheel. Red…gooey…gush. Look further out in front of the car and what do I see? Our mouse problem. Only…it’s not a problem anymore.
I get in the car and trying not to laugh, I ask Nancy, “Remember our mouse problem?”
“Yeah, what about it?”
“Not a problem anymore.”
“Are you serious?!”
“Just keep practicing.”
Of course, no one can focus on practice after that. Nancy completes two more parallel parking flawlessly and then turns off the car. We get out to examine the damage. She tells me to go clean up the mess.
So, a shovel, garbage bag, and some water later. I get the mess all cleaned up. Only…now it smells like wet animal. Oh well, good thing it’s a windy day today.
I guess it wasn’t wrong to give Nancy the nickname of “Kitty” after all. :p
