第一次做PIZZA

上上个星期,在PANDA同事PETE的指导下,我们做了人生中的第一块PIZZA!

也不能这么说,其实我们一下做了六块,应该是我我们人生中第一次自己做PIZZA.

先要和面,让面团发酵

我没有参与和面揉面的过程,全部是PANDA在师傅的指导下完成的,看到上面的图片了吧,那五块圆圆的看起来比较正常的,是他同事兼师傅的作品,而那块最大最扁,不知道是什么形状,看起来畸形的呢,就是PANDA的杰作了. 不过人家是第一次做,期望不要太高哦,吃起来还是不错的.
自己做PIZZA的好处就是想吃多少TOPPINGS就放多少TOPPINGS,所以我们准备了很多我们爱吃的TOPPINGS.

从图上可以看出来,我们准备的材料有Ham,Bacon,Mushrooms,Onions,pepperoni,pineapple and Garlic. 还准备了两种sauce,一个Spaghetti sauce,还有一个是Alfredo sauce. 我喜欢的是这个white sauce.

当然还要准备CHEESE,看熊猫的师傅正在切CHEESE

所有材料准备好后,就可以给PIZZA 上SAUCE,然后放上TOPPING就可以烤了.

真可惜PIZZA烤好后,我就顾着吃了,完全忘记了拍照,不过自己做的PIZZA真的好吃的呢,有机会还要再做!

2009熊猫仔和WIFEY的情人节

又是一年情人节,很久没来踩我们的博了,今天近来转一转,顺便留个脚印吧!

虽然早就告诉熊猫情人节我不需要礼物,只要他给我做我喜欢吃的牛排就可以了,但是还是很意外地收到了礼物.

这就是我的情人节礼物

不是那个笔记本哦,是个无线鼠标,粉红色的,我喜欢的颜色,觉得它好可爱!现在每天都用!

还有一盆花

每年的情人节都会收到熊猫的鲜花,可惜鲜花虽美却也极易凋谢,所以今年情人节来临之前,我就对PANDA郑重说明,情人节我不要鲜花,如果你实在想送我礼物的话,那就买一盆活的植物吧,这样它就不会很快凋谢,每次看到它,我就会想起是你送的,想到你对我的好,呵呵!PANDA想想我说的有道理,就说行,那就送盆有生命的花给你作礼物.

结果他后来送了我无线鼠标,我就问:没有植物啊?
因为我实在很喜欢家里有很多绿色植物.他说,没有了,这就是我给你的礼物了.没有就没有吧,反正我已经有粉红色的鼠标了,我也不会那么贪心的.

星期六就是情人节,他起床后说接到ADT电话要去公司一趟,最近ADT真烦,老是打电话说出什么问题了,下了班还害他去公司,有天还半夜跑去公司,现在周末也要跑去,但我们又能怎么办呢,只能让熊猫跑一趟了.

结果熊猫回来后手里就捧了那盆花给我,原来他是去公司拿花了,其实他早就买好了,还说没给我买植物,真的很狡猾的!

更好笑的是我在两天前在他们公司的服务器房里已经见过这盆花了,我还很奇怪,问熊猫谁把花放在服务器房里啊,他居然面不改色心不跳地回答我说是PETE的.当时我还在想PETE干嘛把花放在这,他有自己的办公室,但是我也没打破沙锅问到底,反正别人的花爱放哪放哪,我干嘛管那么多,没想到那竟然就是我的花.不知道我当时如果一直追问下去熊猫怎么回答,不过熊猫总是那么狡猾,他一定会想出办法骗我的,因为我总是相信他,不知道被他骗了几次.

不过被骗了也好,最后常常有惊喜,就如这次,当他把花送到我面前时我还是蛮欣喜的,因为原本属于别人的花现在是我的了!

Why Linux sucks

Linux is cool and all. It’s stable, fast, uses less memory than Windows…but there are times when it just absolutely sucks to run Linux.

For instance…I would like to get some “widgets” on my Linux desktop…maybe put up a stock ticker, etc. Be cool to have more effects to Linux and show it off. So, a little research and I see that gDesklets would be the way to go. So, let’s follow my adventures.

1. Download gDesklets.

2. Configure gDesklets. Says I need newer version of PYGTK.

3. Download and configure PYGTK. Need PYGObject.

4. Download and configure PYGObject. Installed.

5. Configure PYGTK. Need PYOrbit.

6. Download and configure PYOrbit. Installed.

7. Configure PYGTK. Installed.

8. Configure GDesklets. Need latest version of GTK+.

9. Download and configure GTK+. Need GLIB.

10. Download and configure GLIB. Need Pango.

11. Download and configure Pango. Installed.

12. Configure GLIB. Installed.

13. Configure GTK+. Need ATK.

14. Download and configure ATK. Installed.

15. Configure GTK+. Need Cairo.

16. Download and configure Cairo. Need Pixman.

17. Download and configure Pixman. Need GLIB-DEVEL-2.18.

18. Google GLib-DEVEL,find results for GLib2-devel, but nothing for GLib-devel. AHHHH!!!!!

I’m still researching this…at this point. From what I’ve found, Glib2-2.18 = Glib-2.18…HOWEVER, Glib2 wants files that start with Glib2, even though they’re roughly the same version.

Making bread…hells yeah!

Okay, let’s be honest. It wasn’t bread. We were making the pizza crust for Sunday’s pizza. Pete, my coworker, came over to show us how.

We started out with some flour, some yeast, and then we were going to grab a whisk and add water and whip it up. But all of a sudden! The power went out! Completely dark in the entire neighborhood!

We got some flashlights and candles set up and kept working. Mixing the flour with water, letting it rise, kneading it…old fashion style, hells yeah

What we do is, knead it, then let it sit for 10 minutes. Then knead it again and let it sit. After doing kneading for three times, we let it sit for another 10 minutes and then take it out and split it into 6’s. Sort them out on plates and move them into the dark refrigerator…but we were out of space!! So we had to reorganize it and then I finally got space.

We get it all in and then…bam! The lights came back on! Wow! Craziness.
